Blythe Infatuation

A recent custom request for two little Blythe doll hats (thank you, Penny, for this fun opportunity), turned me on to these cuties. After a bit of searching,  I found that vintage Blythes can get pricey (thousands of dollars on E-Bay), I turned to Hong Kong where I found this cute Takara Tomy Punkaholic People Blythe doll and I couldn't resist importing her!

Here are a couple of designs that I sized to fit these big-headed, but enchanting dolls.

Fern

Spring has arrived early here in the northeast! Soft spring greens of the first bulbs poking up through the leaf litter are a welcome sight.

Fern and moss photographed last May on a visit to Midcoast Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor, Maine a preview of what will come in a couple of short months!

Casper

Casper -  the friendliest of cats and appearing out of ‘thin air’came to live with me.

His life spared from an unknown violent encounter that left its mark as just-barely healing scars on his neck and hind legs, a little stray cat stopped by my back door looking for some food and a dry lap. Purring his gratitude at my tasty offering, he quickly made himself comfortable. The little black and white traveler, content with a full belly, stayed for a day, then a week, then a year, never compelled to leave.
