Nature's Bounty & Patriotic Puppy on The 4th of July!

The rush for berries is on:  nature's bounty at its best. Wild Maine blueberries and red raspberries are ripening and ready for picking.

Add to your favorite breakfast cereal, yum! My favorite is on oatmeal with walnuts, cinnamon and yogurt.

After the berry picking, cookouts, swimming, boating and card games; a meaningful end to the day with
 fireworks on the lake.

Happy Fourth of July!

Hi Cathy.

My sister lives in Phillips, Me. The nearest "big" town is Farmington, I think.

I've never heard her call moose swamp donkies. I'll have to ask her about it.

She owns a B&B with yoga studio and boutique. Do you know any Mainers who make goats milk soap that might be interested in selling in her shop?

Cathy,
I so enjoyed seeing your Maine 4th of July celebration! Especially the sweet dog with the flag. Here in the far Northern though Midwest Minnesota we had a lovely day with family, and friends, a water soaking with the kids and some grownups. We shared the day with a dear friend and her two little ones whose husband was just deployed this past week. It puts into perspective this day of freedom that we celebrate and those who are bravely keeping our land free! Brats on the grill and watermelon where a few of the food specialties. Then off to enjoy the fireworks in Grand Forks, ND on the banks of the river.
